Rock Climbing & Mountaineering

Climbing has become a prominent and sort after sport in South Africa, although Hartbeespoort has some of the best climbs in SA, we focus on indoor type, yet outdoor,  artificial walls for our climb experience.

The focus is for all age groups to get familiar with gear, belaying and general climbing techniques in preparation for outdoor climbing, as well as to create a challenging alternative for sport climbers to ready themselves for the national and  international competitions. PASE is affiliated with SANCF, the South African National Climbing Federation, to facilitate the creation of a regional sports climbing team to represent the North-West Province at National level. Our club stands as PASE Harties Climbing club (PHCC). The focus of this initiative is to provide access for climbers to represent South Africa on an International level. It is our aim to assist our students to achieve this goal.

With our own team, the PASE ATC  team and the specialist knowledge of  mountaineer Niel Margets, from SA Academy, we offer a well-rounded experience on the PASE Academy adventure course, which includes different obstacle courses focusing on strength, fitness and endurance.
