Christoff Jones

Christoff joined the SAPS in 1990 and in 1993 became a member of the elite Special Task Force. He received training in Hostage Release, Rural Operations and Survival, Executive Protection, Emergency Diving, Improvised Explosives and Devices, Sniper, Advanced Driving and other specialized training. Christoff operated as an Instructor in weapons, Rural, Survival, Sniping and Parachuting. He gained invaluable knowledge and experience during this 13 years in SAPS, furthering experience in Tactical Operations both Urban and Rural as well as Executive Protection Operations. He then spent 7 years in Iraq where he gained even more experience as a PSD Operator and Team Leader. Christoff is also a registered Assessor and Moderator with CATHSSETA in Professional Hunting and obtained no less than 127 Unit Standards with SASSETA. He is an Advanced Level Instructor, PFTC Assessor and Moderator and a registered Tutor with HABC in Level 3 Protection, Conflict Management, Control and Restraint and Physical Intervention. He is a valuable asset to the Group with his experience and knowledge base.

Gerhardus Botha

Having honed his skills as a member of the SA Police, Gert focussed on Urban Survival Practices and founded PASE in 2016 to support its client base in providing both training and specialised services such as High Risk and Transit Protection, Advanced Tactical Training, Wildlife Protection, Risk Analysis and Forensic Investigations as well as Project Management. PASE focus on family protection, and as an advanced tactical instructor, Gert makes an effort in upskilling both young and old in urban and outdoor survival techniques, collaborating with partners and deploying its own highly skilled instructors. He manages the PASE Group of Companies consisting out of PASE Consulting, PASE Advanced Training Concepts, PASE High Risk Protection and PASE Counter Pouching. He is still very involved in local government structures in support of rural safety initiatives. He is also strongly involved in PASE Academy, which is a registered GED Centre in Hartbeespoortdam.

Marthin Botha

Marthin joined the SAPS in 1991 and in 1993 became a member of the elite Special Task Force. He received training in Hostage Release, Rural Operations and Survival, Executive Protection, Emergency Diving, Improvised Explosives and Devices, Sniper, Advanced Driving and other specialized training. Marthin operated as an Instructor in this unit between 1998 and 2004. He gained invaluable knowledge and experience during this 13 years in SAPS, furthering experience in Tactical Operations both Urban and Rural as well as Executive Protection Operations. Marthin spent 7 years in Iraq where he gained even more experience as a PSD Operator, Team Leader and Operations Manager. Since 2014 Marthin went into training fulltime using his expertise gained over a period of 20 years working operationally and Training both locally and abroad. As a registered Assessor and Moderator with SASSETA, he brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to PASE.

Koos Coetzee

Koos became part of PASE as a Civilian Urban Survival Instructor, not by co-incidence, as he is actively involved in fighting crime and as a former SAPS Reserve colleague and ex-commando his experiences and knowledge is both valued and incorporated into our training courses. Koos has excellent outdoor and bush skills and his knowledge of rural safety has been hugely beneficial to the Wildlife Protection program PASE is managing. As a trusted friend and partner, Koos manages our High Value Sites and as a founder member forms an indispensable part of our operating structures by ensuring tactical stability, discipline and procedural compliance.

Andre de Klerk

Andre is an avid biker who loves the outdoor, he travel quite extensively by either 4x4 but mostly on his trusted two wheeler throughout the country. Andre shares the PASE philosophy of making the serious business of training fun and enjoyable. He joined us as a designated CMS - Civilian Motorbike Survival Instructor, with the focus on sharing the knowledge of family safety both in an urban and outdoor capaciy with our biking communities and their friends. Andre brings with him all his years of experience and we are looking forward to many shared kilometers together.

Rina Botha

Rina is an avid sports person, and as an entrepreneur she brings a wide spectrum of experience which we at PASE are very fortunate to have. She is running our educational programs which is turning out to be very popular and successful - more specifically the Enrichment Programmes. She also runs with the PASE Youth series to enrich our children and help in building a future for the young. Rina is also involved with the Civillian Urban Survival and Medical courses as Instructor and assist with the Wildlife Protection Programmes PASE manages.

Fanie Botha

Fanie forms part of PASE as our personal survival / tactical and outdoor knife maker. PASE has designed specialized and application specific tools which will not only stand the test of time, but also the test in workmanship. Fanie is renowned for his creative ideas in deriving just what we required, and his strive towards perfection and quality results in unparalleled knifes we proudly endorse and distribute with affection. He is also the sole manufacturer to the Boswa Survival Knife range, of which a large amount has been distributed country-wide.

Tom & Elanie Kruger

Tom became part of the PASE Youth Family as a result of him sharing his wealth of knowledge with our kids and we want others to benefit from his experiences. Tom studied Agriculture and as an active farmer his experiences comes first hand. One can only sit and listen in awe to his stories of nature, grasses, trees and life on the different mountain ranges. Tom participates and run our youth field camps in conjunction with our other Youth Programmes. Be sure to participate in one of his sessions, it is an experience not to be missed. Elanie join this team as an excellent photographer and share in the enrichment program as both a tutor and guide.

Anne-Marie Seale

Anne-Marie is a dedicated and extremely successful Polygraph and Handwriting examiner who focusses on Forensic Criminal Specific examinations, Periodical Screening, Pre-Employment assessments and Forensic Handwriting Examinations, one of only a handful in South Africa. She is professionaly qualified throught the NEOGrafex Academy of Forensic Analysis, Italy, and is practicing successully as Forspec South Africa. PASE is a proud strategic as these services compliments our global service oferings in both the Commercial and Private sectors, ranging from security to personal investigations, which ties up with our Risk Analysis and Assessment service offerings.

Caty van der Merwe

Caty served in the South African Police Service for 23 years in the rank of Captain, before she joined the Hostage Negotiation Team as a hostage negotiator in 2006, attending to all hostage and barricaded incidents, suicidal persons and kidnapping incidents. She worked at the National Hostage Negotiations Office as Deputy National Hostage Negotiator Co-ordinator, managing and maintained plans, policies and strategies. She partake in the Interdepartmental Task team which dealt with all International Kidnappings (South African citizens) and facilitated liaison with DIRCO, SANDF, SAPS Taskforce and Correctional Services to support operational effectiveness. She was responsible for the planning, coordinating and facilitating of all Hostage and Suicide Negotiation Training in the SAPS and the planning of simulations to test operational readiness. She assisted with the administration of SARPCCO Hostage Negotiation courses.

Neil Margetts

Founder of SA Climbing Academy, endorsed by PASE as the authority in Rock Climbing and Mountain Walking, Neil has become a personal friend and coach to the whole family and has a passion for the outdoors. He is internationally renowned and have scaled most of the famous climbs on the earth. Neil’s passion and objective aligns with what PASE want to achieve hence a very strong alliance with our enrichment programmers. Neil is also part of the management of the PASE Harties Climbing Club and is a valuable asset to growing this sport.
