Fearless Weekend Adventures

A fun weekend in nature introducing youth to basic field skills mixed with lots of water fun, shelter building, preparing your own food etc. All as a family adventure at our Twin Mountain River facilities.
Cost: R2,500 per family – Duration: 2 Days
This program is a fun weekend focused around water and activities ranging from campsite set-up, preparing your own food, introducing safe water preparation and consumption methods, to name but a few. Parents are encouraged to join their children in this journey, even not as a fellow student, but to allow parents to experience their child’s development alongside them.
Survival and adventure
Spending time under the open skies, learning about night sounds and stars, facing your fear of the dark and standing guard is some of the exiting night time activities which will be endured.
Our instructors are highly skilled and loves sharing information with the youth.
We will cover the following topics over the course of the weekend:
- Introduction to field knowledge
- Familiarization with night sounds
- Night hike
- Weather and climate
- Astronomy / Stars
- Field eating / Cooking
- Water adventures
- General bush survival skills
Products
PASE has a field products range to make life a bit easier for those who intend to spend a lot of time outdoors.
- The Fanie Botha field knife with flint, now also a kids range
- The PASE field guide side bag, with a note book, pencil.
- First aid flipper, an on the spot quick reverence to all medical emergencies
- Webbing- a brand new product for the public and specifically for our junior learners to carry everything with ease
Prices:
All the PASE courses and products will be available for online payments.
- Cost per Family: R2,500 per family which includes: classes, trainer fees and survival training, all walks and practical, adventures, badge and certificate
- Price per weekend includes one nights’ accommodation, the accommodation is broken down into:
- Adult Camp - Families to setup their own camping (tents or caravans - note: no electricity is provided)
- Youth Camp - The youth will be hosted separately on the same grounds
- Meals :
- Families to provide for their own food
- Youths on camp will be catered for
- Certificate and Junior PASE Badge included
What is needed for the camp:
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Sunscreen and Hat
- Comfortable shoes
- Long pants for field walks
- Flashlight / Headlamp
- Beanie for the winter
- Water bottle to carry
- Anti-bug spray
- Notebook and pen
