This Course was designed for our local residents, rural and urban, who would either be required to provide medical assistance, or who want to be able to help themselves should the situation arise whereby one is in a secluded area with no medical assistance readily available on the foreseeable future, and need to apply the necessary medical knowledge in order to sustain life. This course will be presented in partnership with Sport Assist. The course introduces the student to the most basic lifesaving medical skills, which is provided as a unit standard course.
Students will be examined on either Levels 1 to 3 and will obtain a registered SETA Accredited Certificate which would be valid for either two or years.
